If is intellectually and morally bankrupt, and all that's left is a blindly dogmatic emotionalism. That's why they're so angry and violent . . they CAN'T defend their poltics with reason, deep down they know it, and by challenging them you are exposing this fissure. Hence, they lash out with anger and violence.
