Frankly, it is not for him to say that "no one is interested in this" and then tell us what we should focus on. And even if no one were actually interested in this, it is still not closed. And we were promised the release of those files.
It is not believable to me that they don't have volumes of information about what happened and about who was involved. Instead, it seems that they have chosen not to share what they have. We were promised full disclosure and transparency on the Epstein files. We've gotten neither of those.
This is disappointing and the more Trump tries to bury it, while telling us what we should focus on the more disastrous it will be for him and his administration.
Trump is doing wonderful things and virtually every aspect of his responsibilities. This is not one of them. And I don't know if it is made more or less troubling by the fact that top Democrats know what's in those files as well and they have chosen not to disclose it.
It seems the two parties are engaged in a Cold War like, "mutually assured destruction". That is, if either side releases anything about the other, the response from the other side will be equally devastating.
