are simply pay to play. And that's not going to change much if at all.

The best answer is still going to be all the big schools form pro leagues. Set them up like pro sports. Contracts, salary caps, etc. And just take the farce of school out of it. Who cares if players take classes! I certainly don't. I just want to watch them play ball. If they want to take classes, fine. Pay their own way just like non-athletes do. Just go ahead and make it semi-pro ball where you can set some rules to get some control back and be done with it.
