nothing to prevent 9/11 since it wasn't a military failing but an intelligence failing. There are plenty of government programs AND military programs that could and should be cut. It's not like you have to do one or the other.

If we spent twice as much as China but $300 billion less than we are currently spending, no countries would mess us. Hell, we could probably spend half a trillion less with no noticeable drop-off in our safety as a country. But we can't do that because the amount of jobs that would be lost would likely send us into a recession at best or a depression at worst.
