That is a stupid argument as well.
So you respond with another dumb argument?
Working in agriculture I have seen a lot of data and seminars on this that are around how investments are done and how things can happen.
To blame a specific incident is dumb. Trends can be figured out as well.
But what you posted was both outdated data as well as backward looking, not forward looking.
I also believe (in general) we have done so much to try to control rivers, that floods get worse when those controls are lost. But I do not know of this area in Texas specifically.
When I lived in near Chicago they had created flood areas to divert water to during high river and rainfall times to mitigate downstream effects. If those were to not be enough there would be a small disaster
Something clearly happened here and people just want to pop off and politicize it. No surprise at all and social media makes that super effective
