Back in the mid-90s I was off hwy179

as a teen, with a group of people went out on some bluffs across this guys farm.
We were hanging out at night and all of us saw what looked like a plane, but it was stopping and then changing direction really fast, until it stopped, hovered, and took off out of site.
At the time, we all thought it was a UFO, things don't fly like that.
Looking back now I assume it was just a drone being tested somewhere (drones didnt exist publicly then - until about 2006 or so).
