I went to the previous one (my wife did the 2015 Royals parade with my daughter so I got picked to do the Chiefs parade #1). The first Chiefs parade had some homeboy crash the parade route before the parade started and driving recklessly along a spectator-lined route. The driver was damned close to being taken out by a police rooftop sniper before they got him stopped. After seeing the drug dealing gang bangers plying their trade on the sidewalks and dealing with the smell of skunkweed everywhere we went, I said I'd never go to another one.
Gang violence and some rivals getting "disrespected" or dealing with some prior beef got a woman (bystander) killed and many, many others (adults AND children) injured.
Blacks have to uncanny ability to turn things to shìt....and a downtown ballpark will just provide more opportunities for crime.
My wife saw that another retailer pulled out of the STL Galleria because of the shoplifting. They put a MetroLink stop nearby and the hoodrats have an easy time getting to a high-end shopping district for easy pickings.
