Abby Carr

Out in Colorado with my step-daughter for softball and we were able to watch Abby Carr pitch against a traveling team from Texas yesterday. According to their recruiting sheet, the Texas team had several high level D1 commits including the first 4 hitters going to Arkansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Stanford. Carr was filthy — gave up 1 run and had double digit strikeouts in a 3-1 win. She also homered off of a pitcher who is going to Arizona and Carr hit 3rd in her team’s lineup behind a Florida St signee and a Tennessee signee. Makes me wonder if she will be in the lineup next year when she is not pitching given what Mizzou has lost offensively with graduations and transfers. Texas Tech let Cannady hit all year as did Nebraska with Jordy Bahl so maybe Carr can help the lineup as well.
