he signed a number of multi-year endorsement deals which, over an extended period of time, MIGHT be worth up to $28M. the amount he earned while at duke was a tiny fraction of that, and had almost nothing to do with him being at duke.

he did not take a "pay cut" to go to the NBA. this is laughably ignorant.
