They obviously believe in quantity over quality, as teams like Mizzou with only a handful of commits are penalized while other schools with 20 or more lower-ranked recruits are rewarded.

We have eight recruits with an average Rivals ranking of 3.57 stars, yet we're ranked 61st nationally. Penn State, Illinois and Florida State have averaged rankings of 3.33, 3.27 and 3.21, and they're ranked 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. That's because they've loaded up with 21, 22 and 19 commitments already. These early ranking are ridiculous, just like pre-season polls.
