stop tariffing the equipment. Dems have been the worst at adding tariffs to solar equipment....
Obama added >300% tariff to Chinese cells and panels (2011) and repeated that on Taiwanese cells and panels (2014)
Trump added a 30% Section 201 tariff on solar panels made in SE Asia in 2017 (that declined 4%/year for 4 years) Biden extended that tariff for 4 years.
Biden added tariffs to SE Asia solar panels in 2024.
Without the tariffs, solar panels would be sourced from China for $0.08/w (versus the current $0.24/watt). The EU is paying the $0.08/w price.
