Strait of Hormuz is now significantly higher. Even if no ships are sunk, the cost of insurance for those trips has probably already jumped significantly & the owners of those ships and the crews on those ships are going to require much more money to carry loads through there, and many will probably refuse to do so at any price until the danger abates.
This will undoubtedly cut supply of crude oil significantly as some 10% of crude oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz, and that which does will carry a significant premium.
Higher oil/gas prices are the certain result... until the danger goes away or at least subsides significantly.
