B2s, 150 support and attack aircraft, plus at least one guided missile submarine were used in this operation. The B2s had to fly hundreds of miles over Iranian airspace to deliver these bunker busters. The bombs didn't just glide in from a distance. The kinetic energy generated by gravity is an important element of their destructive capability. This was a serious operation conducted at great risk to our airmen. Reportedly, there were no losses during the mission.
