International sentiment is allegedly moving in favor or Iran & in isolating Israel is one aspect.
It is easier & cheaper to send in missiles & decoys than to send up multiple antidefense missiles to stop them. Iran is a much larger, mor populous country and is economically stronger.
Their command & control was hammered in Israel's original strike & they're still adjusting & regaining their capabilities in that regard.
Iran has far more missiles than Israel & can outlast them in a war of attrition. Israel not only has a significantly smaller population but had been losing population. There are claims this is likely to accelerate that trend as much of the Israeli population did not bargain for this and has not suffered these types of attacks in the past.
China, Russia & others are rearming Iran & consider them a very important, key ally in the region. Turkey too is very much in favor of Iran & has by far the largest army in the region, indeed the largest in NATO. They may well be helping Iran as well.
Iran also is walking a fine line in hurting Israel but without alienating world opinion any further & a strong threat of anihilation of Israel could prompt a nuclear response from them & greatly enhances the probability of the US jumping in to their defense.
