No, there’s no credible evidence that Ilhan Omar entered the U.S. illegally. Here’s what’s well documented:
She and her family fled Somalia during the civil war and came to the U.S. in 1995 as refugees, granted legal entry and asylum status
Ilhan Omar became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000 at age 17—fully in line with U.S. immigration law .
Repeated conspiracy theories—claiming she married her brother or changed identities to enter illegally—have all been debunked by reputable fact-checkers including Reuters, Snopes, and Politifact
So besides voicing her opinion as a legal U.S. citizen, what other reason should she be deported?
