2) they hope others don’t remember. There are far more options than just these two, which makes it a false dichotomy.
You completely ignore another position that they remember and don’t see any conflict.
Schools require immunizations, do they not? Both at the primary and university levels. Going into the military requires immunizations. Bodily autonomy doesn’t fully exist in public spaces. You can’t walk around naked in public right? So to act in a public space, unless you are at a nudist resort, generally requires clothing if you want to be there.
Take many anti-vaxxers for instance. Many of them want bodily autonomy to not be vaccinated, yet want unrestricted freedom in public spaces. By the same token, many of them reject bodily autonomy for others with laws against drug use or nudity.
Your question was not honest because it was a false dichotomy that doesn’t in any way represent nuances and was intended to give two options to make others look bad an inconsistent.
