He felt that a lot depended upon how many missiles Iran could keep firing into Israel. He noted that many of their missiles have been able to get through the Israeli Iron Dome defense system and it is freaking out some of the Israeli citizenry who aren't used to a more modernized & powerful military foe being able to rain down missiles deep into Israel on a relative large scale, and they've already done so for 3 nights in a row.
If they can keep that up, Netanyahu's political base could erode fairly quickly.
Israel has also been losing population and this kind of eye opening carnage inside Israel could accelerate that trend. Iran is bigger than Israel in both population and economic strength.
Neither side could take the other in a land war, but Iran might be better able to withstand a war of attrition of missile & drone attacks.
Nukes are hopefully unlikely, but could be an obvious wild card. They would have bad ramifications for all involved.
Direct US involvement is suboptimal for both the US and Iran, but undoubtedly a goal of Israeli leaders.
