What you just typed i infer to read:
"Man requires faith. Atheists don't believe in God, but they put their faith in something else"
That doesn't at all equate to "Atheism REQUIRES faith".
I will also add that theists don't limit their faith solely to god (or gods), and also put their faith in other things
Hence, the difference left is that the Theist has Faith (in God), the atheist does not; arguing that man must put his faith in something (if not God) seems like a different argument altogether.
