because he believes he can force Iran to the table. He would not recklessly throw away his entire "no more new wars" mantra unless there is very good reason to do so. I would be surprised if the US gets involved in any type of land war unless there is something we don't know. If for no other reason, Trump's ego would prevent him from admitting some of the more hawkish voices have been right. That would be a great deal of crow to eat after all this time.
