Before sending him down I would try using him a little more situationally. See if that gets his legs under him first.
The move to bring him up was a panic move. He is not up because it was time to move him to the bigs. He is up because he was raking it in the minors while the big league team was struggling to plate a run a night.
It was a PR move to fool low baseball IQ fans like Carlos.
