approached The secretary asking a question loudly and it wasn't until he was intercepted, interrupted and interdicted that he announced who he was.

What should secret service or security do when an unknown person with no senatorial badge or identification walks aggressively towards the speaker shouting questions ? You think they should have just let him continue to approach the secretary?
