Abject lazy ignorance like this is paradoxically quite often paired with his arrogance and self-assuredness. When you've done this long enough, you're utterly convinced of your truths - anything else ceases to exist or is dismissed as being unfit.
this is why FIJI has to dismiss all trump supporters or voters as idiots and claims they don't matter, are stupid, etc. What option does he have?
