But Obama especially, had a much more organized approach that focused on deporting criminals?
Like it or not, the U.S. needs to immigrants for its economy to thrive.
As is often the case, the answer is in the middle.
Biden’s polices were too lenient on the border, though he also introduced legislation that would have sent more money to securing the border, but the GOP voted that down,
Meanwhile, Trump’s policies are carried out recklessly, trying to crack down on any and all illegal migrants. Yet… so far, it’s really been a failure as his deportation numbers are far less than his predecessors.
The answer is immigration reform. We need to deport criminals, we need document those who are contributing to society, and we need to streamline and lower the cost to receive a green card and become a U.S. citizen.
