everyone talks about how China worked to crush the world with releasing COVID intentionally.

They are probably the biggest country that got hurt by it.
Their regulations were far worse and longer than any other country. They stopped producing and crushed logistics, and the march for US companies to source elsewhere moved and other countries benefitted from that.

Add to that the trade war has helped other countries step up and replace them.

They are not heading down a good path at all, and will be as relevant as Japan in a generation.
