Lower your expectations until proven otherwise. Every team each year has to build chemistry, rhythm, and hope to stay relatively healthy. The overall expectations projected in society today by fan bases are primarily driven by the generations who were given 'participation' trophies instead of having to earn everything in this life.

Moral of the story is.... you are never guaranteed anything in this life!!!
