Spare me the lecture on what “country” means. I served mine for 8 years—probably longer than anyone in this thread. I didn’t wear the uniform so we could become a petty, closed-off shell of ourselves, scared of students and books.

You wrap yourself in the flag like it’s armor, but you’ve got no clue what it stands for. It’s not about exclusion, fear, or punishing people who think differently. It’s about liberty, opportunity, and yes—welcoming those who earn their place, no matter where they’re from.

So if anyone’s earned the right to talk about this country, it’s me. Not some keyboard warrior who confuses cruelty for patriotism.
