what is going on. Why is Trump resisting regulation on AI? Why is he in bed with the tech bros?
You think Klaus Schwab saying “you will own nothing is bad”, but you aren’t paying attention to cloud computing.
Businesses, with short sighted executives are outsourcing their IT infrastructure to cloud providers. The cloud providers are taking the business data for free. The CEOs are patting themselves on the back for reducing head count.
In 10-15 years there will be much less people with modern IT infrastructure skills as the jobs will be gone and concentrated within cloud providers.
Then that business data they uploaded for free to the cloud providers will be controlled by the cloud providers. They will be the new feudal lords extracting rent from businesses to access the data. American businesses will be captive to the cloud providers because there won’t be enough skilled people in the job for businesses to rebuild their infrastructure on-premises.
American businesses “won’t own anything, either”. The tech bros will be able to determine who survives and who doesn’t.
And Trump is enabling it fighting regulation of them.
