The house has a razor thin majority, so it only takes a few to kill support for a vote. Sometimes that lack of backbone is from a moderate, RINO faction. They'll never grow a backbone. Sometimes that lack of backbone is from the house GOP leadership who might balk at doing the hard work to form a coalition to pass the vote. We've seen postives here, particularly in the first vote for the Big Beautiful Bill. We need to see more of this.
