caused probably 10x the damage COVID actually caused, and that has nothing to do with the vaccine.
The biggest issue to COVID-19 specific virus is that it was new enough to cause issues to enough of the vulnerable population.
And as someone who traveled after, there were a lot of new local viruses that developed during the 2 years of limited travel. For my first 5 or 6 trips, I pretty much got sick in all of them to some extent.
I am a bit mixed on the gain of function research without knowing all of the details. There is a need a reason to have some of these labs to develop future treatments to future viruses. Exactly how that gets done and controlled, I do not know.
