Uh, yes. When you have to put up one fighter jet to aerial refuel two others for a long range combat mission, it seriously reduces the combat power of the air wing.
A few weeks back the US deployed several of our B-2 stealth bombers from Whiteman AFB to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Their mission was to bomb underground storage facilities where the Houthis keep their missiles, launchers and associated gear. I've seen nothing to indicate these missions were successful. I don't believe our carrier based F/A aircraft have the capability to air launch standoff munitions capable of deep penetration of the Houthi storage bunkers.
