from cancer. She had dementia and he'd moved her into a memory care facility, but then the cancer diagnosis and she resisted the treatment. So after she passed the house went up for sale.
His daughter is a realtor and put the house on the market. Took bids for it because that takes race out of the question when accepting an offer. Can't have a buyer denied and then sue you because they felt slighted. And the offers were much higher than the asking price.
So the woman who bought the house ia a minority. Single older woman who doesn't own a lawn mower. She hires out to have the lawn mowed--yesterday was the second time the lawn has been mowed this year. And he wasn't mowing grass as teh yard is full of weeds.

I have two bags of recycling from someone trimming her bushes which have sat outside for nearly a year beside her deck and facing our house. They've been there so long the recycling bags have fallen apart, leaving two piles of sh*t.

Mature trees in the fornt yard so every time there is any kind of windstorm branches land in the yard and on our side lot. I"ve had to clean up the limbs in my yard several times. Last year I was cleaning them up when her daughter went out to her car to get something, looked at me cleaning up her mother's tree limbs, and just smirked.

This spring, tree limbs fell with one landing partly in the street. Someone finally moved it out of the street after over a week and into the curb strip and it sat there for several other weeks until another neighbor was having his pin oak trimmed the the tree crew tossed that branch into their wood chipper.

Her daughter(s) are no longer staying there. One was a single mom and the other is in college, so the random folks coming an going is at a minimum right now. But some daughter had a car towed to in front of the house 3+ weeks ago and it has sat there ever since.

Yay diversity.
