just allow her to pick the job she wants anyway?
She wants to be a surgeon, and she tried really really hard. She didn't have the grades to get into a medical school in the US, so she studied elsewhere. But she tried really, really hard.
Shouldn't hospitals be required to take people who try really really hard?
