"the portal is for lazy coaches who can't develop players", seriously? So Patty Gasso must be lazy as sh**. Oklahoma's ace this season is the transfer, last season's ace on the national championship team was a transfer, some of her best players on the team are/were transfers. Yes she also gets great recruiting classes too and I'm sure her and her coaching staff do an awesome job of player development. But for the past several seasons SEC softball teams have loaded up on the top transfers in the country, their transfer portal classes consistently rank in the top 25, top 10. MU would not even be in the top 50. That's a big problem! Yes, it doesn't mean they can't do a better job at player development
Another quick example: Florida MBB, their best players were transfers and I'm sure if you look at other national championship teams you'll find similar examples too (Ohio St football's QB, top RB)
