That along with this pitching staff would be a serious contender.

They were 1st in the AL in hits and top 10 in MLB in runs scored. Remember that outfield?

Jermaine Dye: .321 average with 33 HR and 118 RBI
Johnny Damon: .327 average and led the league in runs and SB
Mark Quinn: .294 average with 20 HR and 78 RBI
