The entire movie is centered around basketball, right?

Field of Dreams is about faith and belief. It's about redemption. It's about Father/Son relationships. It's about the American Dream and nostalgia. It's about the power of imagination and dreams.

Baseball is barely a plot device. It's a setting. It's on screen for about 11 minutes of the entire movie.
