Star Wars was always a vague allegory not a direct reflection of modern society.. George was to wise for that type of BS. George had the outline for Revenge of the Sith long before the Patriot act. Stop putting your own political ideology into Sci Fy fantasy.

Now everything in Disney SW is a spot on reworking of what is in the Leftist headlines. They are talentless hacks and put out schlock hence hardly none of their D+ SW shows even register on the Streaming service Metrics.
