Capital punishment.
You got your panties in a twist because I pointed out that would be assassins of Hitler were criticized, punished and executed, but are now seen as heroes.
People who stood up for freedom, lost theirs and often their lives, once seen as criminals by a government and its supporters, called brave now.
History doesn’t always view events the same as the common opinion when it was happening.
