It was nerve wracking. The definitely didn’t have their best meet but did just enough. Starting on floor is a problem for them because scoring is always tight early. Their vault scores were baffling given some of the scores that came after them. Bars were their own fault with too many landing hops and then they terrified us all with a fall on their lead off beam routine. So incredible to watch Helen bring it home with another stunning beam routine but even she was a tad off with the slightest of balance checks on her dismount. Auburn got away with an oob on floor that no judge noticed or it wouldn’t have been as nerve wracking. They also had two glaring errors that were seemingly overlooked as their floor scores were similar to Mizzou…advantage of going later. I’d like to see them end on floor in the finals…but I’m not sure how that is decided. In other rounds top seed chooses.
