and go all in on FB and BB.
There's no point in diverting resources to programs that are bound to be SEC doormats.
We aren't Tennessee or Texas A&M. We don't have enough funding to compete in the non-revenue sports, in the NIL era.
And btw, that includes women's basketball. It's *ridiculous* that we're paying the new WBB coach $1 mil/year. And she'll have no chance of competing in the SEC unless we *also* increase the NIL budget of WBB, siphoning even more $ away from FB and BB.
WTF was Veatch thinking?
Mizzou has to be smarter and more efficient than other SEC schools with its limited resources.
Wisconsin hired Pingeton because they decided that WBB isn't worth investing in – that the money is better spent on FB and BB to give them a chance of competing in the sports that actually matter.
