Trump's fairly predictable. if he thinks the situation is screwing thew usa over, he will always disturb the status quo to create a better deal for the usa.

Because he's trump you have dems, tigermatt types screaming about tariffs, ignoring the unfair trade deals that dems happily ignored for decades. They screech like emotional women about trump says mean things, he's a dictator, etc..

Most dictators don't hold press conferences. Biden wanted questions in advance, and the right to review any quotes used by reporters. biden also censored covid info, biden laptop, and worked to suppress people. press happily complied and instead calls trump the evil orange doctator.

Trump's nato rhetoric is essentially the same approach. Europe happily let usa defend it so they could fund their socialist states. Trump called them out on it.

trump's also went heavy and hard after the dem NGO's charities, actblue money laundering , usaid graft.

Yet again, disturbing the status quo because it hurts the usa.

Will the tariffs cause temporary pain? yes. Will the end solution be far better? Yes.
