No matter what strain of leftism they're infected with, the ONE thing that dominates their thinking and animates their being is . . . power. Attain it when you can and keep what you've attained.
To understand this means you will no longer be gobsmacked by their ready willingness to harm other people, betray friends or even family, or to jettison all pretense to reason while closing themselves off to anything you might say.
The work of DOGE threatens to undermine a significant portion of the left's power base, and they will lie, cheat, and steal (and burn Tesla dealerships) to fight losing that power.
