actually reasonable on your part as I very much doubt that you have any rational answers to them or to others yet unasked.
Continuing this fruitless war is no more in the interest of US citizens than it was to goad Russia into the war in the first place. Continuing it would be throwing good money after bad in a losing cause. Worse yet, it would be tragically sending countless more men to brutal deaths for no legitimate reason.
Their cause was hopeless, unless you are willing to go into direct war with Russia rather than an absurd proxy war, and at great risk of starting WWIII and very possibly nuclear war with Russia &/or China and their allies.
