Gutfeld said it very well on THE FIVE last week when he debated jessica tarlov re DOGE. She said something to the effect that of course everyone wants to save money and stop fraud and abuse, but it has to be done in a better way.
Like they should take more time, (my words) years or decades and study some more and make sure that absolutely no one gets hurt or loses his/her job by mistake.
All of these existential threats (this era's buzz word) on the environment for example require immediate and extreme action. Pipelines stopped with NO REGARD for the jobs, lives and homes of workers.
ALL COAL MINES SHOULD BE CLOSED and miners can learn how to code.
Existential threats must be dealt with immediately with no regard for collateral damage.
But the lowering of a $36,000,000,000,000 debt which actually is an existential threat needs to be dealt with surgically, with a scalpel not a broadsword. Saving democracy can be done carefully.
One of the oldest marxist tricks in the books:
SAY you're a patriot, claim to love the country and want to cure its ills. But since you have compassion, do it slowly, deliberately and make 100% sure that no one gets hurt or inconvenienced in any way.
We want the same thing, but we want to do it compassionately.
Shouldn't take but a few more decades.
