rankings can be. I was shocked the first time I saw them play at how bad they actually were. Not coaching bad. Skill bad. They couldn't dribble the ball, pass the ball, catch the ball, make layups, etc. It was like watching the Washington Generals. They were not high D1 level players. The proof was in the places most of them transferred to.
At that time in Kim's career he wasn't going to get good enough players to be successful at this level. I think he would have much better results if he the players. But no coach can overcome players who just aren't good enough for the level of competition. Gates a perfect example. Terrible last year. Much better this year. He didn't all the sudden become that much better of a coach. He has better players. Jimmies and Joes are more important the Xs and Os.
