perversion of justice occurred.

That shows how vulnerable the argument "for the common good" can become a powerful weapon for evil ends, and a justification for using evil means to achieve whatever ends those in power deem to be "for the common good".

Or am I mistaken in thinking that you feel that Clinton, Obama, Biden and Harris were champions of a right ordered wielding of government power for the "common good"?
