Sure, we are fundamentally an ally of Israel and that probably shouldn't change.
But AIPAC goes so far in influencing our government that it should probably be declared a terrorist organization - as should any foreign-sourced body that is giving campaign contributions to American politicians.
Term-limits and harsh penalties for campaign contributions not sourced strictly from the after-tax salaries of American citizens are likely the solution.
Trump is weak in this area and I don't expect that to change: you can't have everything.
