Gotta get that federal funding!. The largest mistake was making college loans federal instead of remaining privatized. Costs skyrocketed, colleges created more worthless classes, and switched from education to scooping up as much federal funding as possible. Loans started flowing and costs quadrupled and continue to rise without any free-market reasoning.
Education system is flat out broken, and govt broke it. So glad to see this waste of a dept being dismantled. Now, send loans back to private lenders.
