actually reflect the views of average Americans.

Progressives live in a bubble that creates a feedback loop for them. Since they NEVER interact with people who are not progressives and the unwritten rules of their group does not allow for dissent none of their ideas are ever challenged.

It is no wonder that they continue charging left completely unaware that the general population has started moving back to the middle once again.
