There is huge money to be made in arms manufacturing, armaments and all that goes with it. Also every manner of grift and kickbacks imaginable. Doesn't matter who the winners or losers are, only that the conflict continue. The perpetrators see no level of morality attached nor matter they are the culpable instruments of death and dismemberment of millions of innocents. To them the screams and the gnashing of teeth of those affected are just noise to be ignored.
