The show since as the attached article says, Hollywood has been a bastion of racism for 100 years.
Let's hope tonight that every single Oscar goes to a black person, and or a woman. Or a crazy person with a penis who thinks he's a woman and may or may not think he or she is black.
Because you know, slavery.
I know that Halle Berry is an anxious and hopeful that she will no longer be the only black woman winner for best actress. That must be an amazingly heavy burden to bear for her.
And the new president of the Academy is doing all she can, of course. "has since doubled the number of women and tripled voters of color in its membership. In 2020, it announced new diversity standards for Best Picture eligibility.
Her training is as a lawyer and a diversity executive. So you know she's going to be doing the right things.
To think they had gone all those years without diversity standards to win best picture of the year.
I hear they're going to do something similar in the NBA for All-Star teams to ensure 60% white representation.
One they could thing they could do, of course, is to change the name of Oscar. In much the same way as they took down statues of confederate Americans, changed pancake boxes, and butter logos the Oscar should be renamed something like the KeyRay-O'scar awards.
The Associated Press will have no problem with that, it's not like we're changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to something pro American.
Hopefully some pro Palestinian murderous vermin will protest and the audience, as well as the actors will be very sympathetic to their Jew hating muzz. It's Ramada inn month, after all. Maybe someone can slap someone to get better ratings.
I don't know when the last Oscar show was that I watched. But I know it won't be this one.
